Magnificent Houses - Winter by the Lake

 This house would not be so magnificent if it were not for the amazing view and the fact that it was built right by the lake. Inside a few things caught my attention, the chairs  in different colors, and the back splash detail that goes up the kitchen wall back there.  







Also notice the cube like structure that serves as a bench and 'sofa' in the dining area and in the bathroom suite the classic tub living against a contemporary wall.

The rest is view! A wonderful view that fills every window! It's located in a weekend resort community, very close to London and it is a weekend getaway destination for people living and working in the UK capital!

Esta casa não seria tão magnífica não fosse a maravilhosa vista e o facto de ter sido construída mesmo em cima de um lago. No interior achei graça às cadeiras iguais mas cada uma de sua cor, e o detalhe do revestimento que sobe a parede da cozinha ao fundo. 

De salientar a estrutura que parece um cubo vazado que serve de banco corrido e 'sofá' na zona de refeições, e na casa de banho da suite a banheira vitoriana, que contrasta com a parede contemporânea.

O resto é vista! Uma vista maravilhosa que enche todas as janelas! Fica muito perto de Londres e é um dos destinos de fim-de-semana favoritos de quem vive e trabalha na capital inglesa!

My house for rent in Lisbon - A minha casa para alugar

This cute small apartment used to be where we lived with my hubby and baby before we moved to our bigger house. It's still ours as we did not have the courage to sell it. We lived there when we had our baby, his first bedroom was there and he absolutely loves it. He is 6 but he calls it his own house. It's located in the historic central area of Lisbon (Chiado) so 4 years ago we decided to put it on short term renting for tourists. It was the best decision we made because it's rented most of all year round. Every once in a while I do a bit of re-styling, nothing fancy but just to make it look nicer and comfortable. These photos were taken 2 months ago after one of those upgrades, but as much as I can change the colours in the bedroom walls or the wallpaper in the living room. I cannot seem to be able to change Martin's baby bedroom stripes and I'm sure he would never forgive me!...

Este adorável e pequeno apartamento era onde vivía com a minha família, antes de mudarmos para uma casa maior. Continua nossa porque foi onde o meu filho teve o seu primeiro quartinho e ele adora esta casa. Costuma dizer que é a sua 'casa pequenina' e adora lá ir ver as riscas do quarto de quando era bebé. Decidimos não vendê-la e como está bem localizada no Chiado, é alugada a turistas no sistema de aluguer de curta duração. Foi a melhor decisão que tomámos porque está ocupada, quase o ano todo. De vez em quando faço pequenos re-sytlings para a tornar mais actual e confortável. Estas fotos foram tiradas há cerca de dois meses e por mais que mude as cores do quarto ou o papel de parede da sala não consigo mudar as riscas do quarto do meu filho... Acho que ele nunca mais me perdoaria!
