Of course, being away on a Trip and another one recording a show , completely disgraced my schedule, and my regular posts, but here I am with the first post about the trip to Miami.
I decided to talk about the hotel first because it's always the hotel, the first destination on any trip right?! This time I stayed at the James Royal Palm that although is not the most lavish and spectacular hotel in Miami - this was a business Trip anyway - the hotel is very well located at Ocean Drive, has a great price for money, rooms are spacious and the common areas are very nice.
The hotel's decor is art deco inspired such as the grand staircase on the first floor, the furniture that decorates the entire entrance lobby and the "moon gate" in the garden - formed by bushes that frame the hotel main entrance, accentuating the overall architecture of the building. It gives it the 'private' touch. The entrance hall is valued by an inspired counter in a "green glass bar", which acts as a cafeteria area.
The hotel has 179 rooms and 211 studios and suites, two swimming pools, a restaurant facing the sea, the pool bar, reception lounge, full-service spa and numerous amazing royal palms, which gave the name to the hotel. We booked a studio which is about the size of an apartment, and loved the fact that room area with a second television and a small kitchenette in order to have some snacks and save 30 euros on breakfast, which admit, is an assault on our morning hungry!
It should also be noted that I loved all the ecological touches in the design. The combination of construction wood boards and white aged oak, used throughout the project and all the carpets, linens and fabrics from natural fibers.
I think this is definitely a hotel to stay!

Claro, que estar uma semana fora e outra em gravações, desgraça completamente a minha agenda, e os posts no Blogue! Mas aqui estamos com o primeiro post sobre a viagem a Miami.
Decidi falar do hotel neste primeiro post porque é sempre o hotel, o primeiro destino em qualquer viagem. Desta vez fiquei no James Royal Palm que embora não seja o hotel mais exuberante e espectacular de Miami - esses são para quem recebe em dolares!! Este está muito bem localizado na Ocean Drive, tem uma boa relacção preço qualidade, os quartos são espaçosos e as zonas comuns são muito agradáveis.
A decoração do hotel é de inspiração art deco, e detalhes tropical vintage, como a grandiosa escadaria no primeiro andar,
os móveis que decoram todo o átrio da entrada e o “portão lunar” no jardim –
formado por arbustos que emolduram a entrada principal do hotel,
acentuando a arquitetura geral do prédio e que lhe dá um ar de privado. O
saguão de entrada é valorizado por um balcão inspirado em um “bar de
vidro verde”, que funciona como uma área de cafetaria.
O hotel tem
179 quartos e 211 estúdios e suítes, duas piscinas, um restaurante de
frente para o mar, bar à beira da piscina, lounge na recepção, spa com
serviço completo e de referir as inúmeras e maravilhosas palmeiras reais, que dão nome ao hotel. Fiquei num estúdio que é quase do tamanho de um apartamento, e adorei o facto de ter zona de sala com uma segunda televisão e uma pequena kitchenet para poder ter uns snacks e poupar 30 euros no pequeno almoço, que convenhamos, é um assalto à nossa fome matinal!
De referir também que adorei os toques ecológicos no design. A combinação de tábuas usadas nos taipais das obras e carvalho branco envelhecido, usada em todo o projeto e todos os tapetes,
lençóis e tecidos de fibras naturais.
Acho que este é definitivamente, um hotel para ficar!
