I'm a great Jonathan Adler Fan - Sou uma grande fã do Jonathan Adler

I've always been a great fan of Jonathan Adler's work. You know I posted about his Miami store when I was there last year. He has such unique pieces and makes such great bold and ecletic combinations. Every time I need some more far out inspirations I go look at my Jonathan Adler favorites folder. Here are some examples of his work.

Eu sempre fui um grande fã do trabalho do Jonathan Adler. Recordam-se que eu fiz um post sobre a loja de Miami quando lá estive no ano passado. Ele tem peças únicas e originais e o trabalho dele é muito caracterizado pelas misturas arrojadas e ecléticas, mas sempre com muita coerência. Sempre que preciso de uma inspiração mais 'fora do comum' vou olhar para a minha pasta de favoritos Jonathan Addler. Aqui estão alguns exemplos de seu trabalho.

I love the unusual lay out on this room and the pink chairs! *** Adoro o invulgar lay out desta sala e as cadeiras rosa!

Notice the big scale jars on the side tables here. Love them *** Reparem nas jarras de grande proporção nas mesas... adoro!

Fretwork panels are very Jonathan Adler too. Love them. Os painéis em trellis são muito Jonathan Adler e eu adoro!

Love the classic paneling on the walls and the unexpected appearance of a Moroccan puffe! *** Adoro os paineis clássicos das paredes misturados com o inesperado aparecimento de um puffe marroquino.

Who said you can't mix a gold classic french bed, with modern mirrored side tables and silver sconces? *** Quem disse que não podemos misturar uma cama dourada clássica, com mesas de cabeceira modernas espelhadas e apliques prateados?!

I like the Juju hat the light blue bed, the orange lamp and the chevron bedding but never would imagine mixing them together and be sure they would turn out so well *** Gosto do Juju hat por cima da cama, a cama azul clara, o candeeiro laranja e o edredon zigzag mas nunca imaginaria fazer esta mistura e resultar bem!

That rug has my name written all over it! *** Este tapete tem o meu nome escrito por todo ele!

Yes I confess I'm a symmetry girl so this one goes directly to favorites list! *** Sim eu confesso que sou dada às simetrias por isso esta sala vai direitinha para a minha lista de favoritos!

This sofa should be in my house, not there! *** Este sofá devia estar em minha casa e não ali!

One of my all time favorites from Jonathan Adler... Back & White & pink... What else!! *** Um dos meus favoritos de sempre do Jonathan Adler... Preto e branco e rosa... What else!

The so famous Chippendale Chairs he brought from old 60's and made them trendy again are one of my favorite pieces ever! *** As tão famosas cadeiras Chippendale que ele trouxe dos anos 60 e tornou 'trendy' outra vez, são uma das minhas peças favoritas de sempre!

Magnificent Houses - Casas Magníficas - Transformed Barn

An old barn transformed into a Magnificent House... How cool is that?!? Love the painted floors and ceilings mixed with the natural wood and the central fireplace dividing dinning area, from living area. Notice how ceilings were painted in some areas and others don't. Really like this contemporary aproach to the countryside structure. What do you think?

Um velho celeiro transformado numa casa Magnífica... Não é o máximo?!? Adoro o chão pintado de branco e os tectos pintados numas zonas e noutras não... A lareira central que divide a àrea de jantar da àrea de estar. Adoro esta intervenção contemporânea numa estrutura rústica. O que é que acham?

Favorite interiors and Great bloggers posting about my work

I've been working on some BIG stuff lately and I can't wait to share it with you. I will when the right time comes because I know you will love it! Not much time for blogging due to so much work. I wish the universe would give me some 5 extra hours a day but I don't have them yet so I've been working during the night and I wake up with the eyes of a grouper that is in the fridge for 15 days! (yaarrcc!!!)

Tenho estado a trabalhar num 'grande projecto' recentemente e mal posso esperar para partilhá-lo convosco. Só posso fazê-lo quando chegar o momento apropriado pois sei que vão adorar! Resta-me muito pouco tempo para 'blogar' devido a tanto trabalho. Neste momento só queria que o universo me desse aí umas 5 horas extra por dia, mas como não tenho, trabalho pela noite dentro e acordo de manhã com olhos de garoupa com 15 dias de frigorífico!...(yaccc!!)

Spring is peeking!*** Primavera à espreita

For those of you who have never been to Europe, Portugal is the sunniest country surrounded by gorgeous beaches. When temperatures go up to 70 degrees in March we go a little crazy with the sun and run outside to soak up all that warm breeze and smell of spring...

For those of you who are in Portugal go outside this weekend, even if you have a lot of errands and cleaning to do and sit in the sun for a few minutes and breath in... it will give you the great energy and vitamin D you need for the week! Well if you can do it in a place like these...better!

Para todos vocês que nunca vieram até à Europa, Portugal é o país mais ensolarado e rodeado por belíssimas praias. Quando as temperaturas sobem até 70 graus em Março, nós ficamos maluquinhos com o sol e corremos lá para fora para absorver toda esta brisa quente e cheiro da primavera, não é verdade?...

Para todos vocês que estão em Portugal saiam no fim de semana, mesmo que tenham um monte de compras e coisas e limpezas para fazer vão sentar ao sol por alguns minutos. Respirem fundo e absorvam um pouco da energia do sol e a vitamina D que precisam para o resto da semana! Bom, se poderem fazê-lo num lugar como estes ... melhor!...
