Still on the open plan living room discussion. Ainda acerca das cozinhas abertas para a sala!!

Loving all the comments on the blog about the last post on the open kitchen to the living room option! Opinions are divided but I think that 'yes' is taking advantage! ;))) To win a few more 'yes' here are photos of a house that I like. I think this house has a very well thought out option.

I specially like the fact that kitchen counter top is wisely set aside, not to be seen from the couch! The house has the perfect colour options option for contemporary and timeless approach. The inspiration of the living room was transported to the kitchen as one. I love it!

How about that? what do you think of this option?!

Estou a adorar todos os comentários no blog sobre o último post das cozinhas abertas para a sala!! As opiniões dividem-se mas acho que está a ganhar o sim!! ;))) Para conquistar mais uns 'sim' aqui ficam fotos de uma casa de que gosto muito e que considero ter uma opção aberta muito bem pensada.

A bancada da cozinha está sabiamente colocada de lado para não ser vista do sofá! A casa tem o essencial a opção dos tons é contemporânea e intemporal e a inspiração da sala foi transportada para a cozinha para que o espaço vivesse como um só. Adoro!

Que tal? o que acham desta opção?!

Espero ter ganho mais uns adeptos desta opção, em casas pequenas.

Cozinha aberta para a sala - SIM ou NÃO!

Again I want to share a 'thank you all' note, for all the comments that flooded the facebook page of the tv show, my facebook page and blog. However I did have some unfavorable opinions about something I did on the show.

I consider a little more controversial, and in my view, relates to a cultural issue. In Portugal we still have some difficulty in facing this question, KITCHEN OPEN TO LIVING ROOM, YES OR N0!?!

It is obvious that in large villas, farmhouses, manor houses and large family homes, this question does not arise for many reasons. In homes where all the space is precious I advocate this option, and I will explain why.

1. I have lived in this format, and I was totally surrendered, is the only thing I regret is not being able to do it in my current home because I live in a building dated end of the 19th century, where the kitchen is at the opposite end of the house and far from the dinning room.

2. The kitchen should be part of the family picture. Consider to be the most enjoyable and a united family to be together at the end of the day, instead of having the typical scenario, the mother stuck in the kitchen cooking, the father watching TV and no conversation.

3. The kitchen should be a social space. It is the most friendly place to share with guests as they invariably go to the kitchen and the room they are chatting.

4. HOOD IS A GOOD FRIEND OF THIS OPTION. The smell is not an issue that arises when you have a good hood. In fact when you cook fried stuff at home, do not tell me that does not smell throughout the house, because even with the kitchen door closed and window open, it smells like fried everywhere! Solution, do not eat fried food is bad for health!

5. THE KITCHEN IS NOT TO HIDE. It can be more decorated, more integrated into the room decor and more beautiful! It is also a way to be always a tidy kitchen, just have a dishwasher where you can put all the dishes after dinner.

Mais uma vez quero partilhar uma nota de agradecimento por todos os comentários que inundaram a página do facebook do programa, a minha página, e o blogue. No entanto gostava de partilhar algumas opiniões menos favoráveis a uma questão que considero um pouco mais polémica, e que a meu ver, se prende com uma questão cultural. Em Portugal ainda temos alguma dificuldade em encarar esta Questão; COZINHA ABERTA PARA A SALA; SIM OU NÃ0!?!

É óbvio que em grandes vivendas, quintas, casas senhoriais ou grandes casas de família, esta questão não se coloca por variadíssimas razões. Em casas onde todo o espaço é precioso eu defendo esta opção, e passo a explicar porquê.

1. Já vivi nesse formato, e fiquei absolutamente rendida, é a única coisa que lamento não poder fazer na minha casa actual por viver num prédio do final do séc. 19 e a cozinha fica na ponta oposta à das salas.

2. A COZINHA DEVE FAZER PARTE DO CONVÍVIO DA FAMÍLIA. Considero ser a forma mais agradável e unida de uma família estar junta ao final do dia, em vez de ter o cenário típico, da mãe enfiada na cozinha a cozinhar, o pai a ver o telejornal e não há conversa.

3. A COZINHA DEVE SER UM ESPAÇO SOCIAL. É a forma mais simpática de partilhar o espaço com os convidados pois invariavelmente elas vão para a cozinha e eles ficam na sala a conversar.

4. UM BOM EXAUSTOR É O MELHOR AMIGO DESTA OPÇÃO. Os cheiros é uma questão que não se coloca quando se tem um bom exaustor. Aliás quando se faz fritos em casa, não me digam que não cheira na casa toda, pois mesmo com a porta da cozinha fechada e a janela aberta, cheira a fritos em todo o lado! Solução; não comer fritos que faz mal à saúde!

5. A COZINHA NÃO É PARA ESCONDER. Pois pode ser mais decorada, mais integrada na decoração da sala e mais bonita! Também é uma forma de ter a cozinha sempre arrumada, basta ter máquina de lavar loiça onde se pode colocar toda a loiça a seguir ao jantar.
